I've always been interested in photos, and loved when growing up getting a box of old photos down from the loft and going through them, when family visited.

We would remember days from when they or I were young, the stories that were told were always spoken with love and affection for that moment in time, and by simply looking at them again it brought everything back to life for us all.

Later on, at one of my friends grandads funeral, "Wee Arthur" had his life laid out in front of us, through photographs. And what a life it had been, from being a strong man competitor, to travelling all over Europe on his motorbike, to his wedding photos, none of which I had ever seen before or knew about. Suddenly "Wee Arthur" wasn't just the gentleman that I had known in his later life, but everyone there was able to see the full life that he had lived, and again people remembered so many amazing stories from these few photographs.

That was when I realised why I always loved photographs. It has always been simply a way to remember the affection that we have for people, as they are now, or once were, and to enjoy all the special memories between us and that other person.

Since then I love that I can bring joy to people through the photos that I capture, and provide them with a lifetime of memories.

My style I would describe as candid photography, where I look to capture the event as it happens, therefore I look for the intimacy of the moment, because that interaction with each other is what means the most, and that is what I love to capture.
